Job summary

nLIGHT, Inc. is hiring Manufacturing Technicians to sustain high-volume production of laser diodes and optics. You will troubleshoot process and equipment issues and support continuous improvement across production lines, including prototype to high-volume transitions.

The role requires teamwork in a clean room and adherence to safety and quality standards, with shift schedules including nights and weekends as described. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as an MSIII or 1+ years in a high-volume production environment with electronics/semiconductor equipment or opto-mechanical assemblies.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing technology and equipment.
• Proficient with common hand tools and multimeters; able to follow safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated production tools to ensure high quality, throughput, and tool utilization.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; collect data and communicate status and solutions.
• Maintain and calibrate routine production equipment; support process engineering in improvements.
• Train, mentor, and certify production team members; document processes with engineers.
• Work to reduce downtime, improve safety and ergonomics, and drive lean initiatives using SPC/DOE/Gage R&R.
