Job summary

Simona’s Bakery in Sea Girt, NJ is seeking a Cake Decorator to join our high-volume, commercial bakery. You will decorate a variety of desserts including cakes, cupcakes, and cookies, using piping bags and other tools to create visually appealing products.

The ideal candidate has cake decorating experience, strong piping and knife skills, and good communication. Must be able to work weekends/holidays in a fast-paced environment with attention to quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• Experience using a piping bag and decorating cakes.
• Ability to work in a busy, high-volume bakery.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and decorate a wide variety of desserts including cakes.
• Maintain reliability, cleanliness and honesty in the kitchen.
• Assist customers in selecting products and answering questions.
• Ensure ingredients are stocked and cooler/freezer inventory is accurate.
• Operate in a high-volume production environment with speed and precision.
• Work weekends and holidays.
