Uncle Giuseppe's gourmet bakery in New York is seeking an experienced Cake Decorator to masterfully decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special orders. The role includes assisting production, maintaining quality and inventory records, and delivering friendly, efficient service to customers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Formal cake decorating training or extensive in-house training.
• Minimum 2+ years decorating cakes in a retail setting.
• Candidate must speak/read/understand English.
• Detail-oriented with strong artistic ability.

Responsibilities

• Creatively decorates cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items.
• Assist production of bakery products per production sheets.
• Produce in-house items to daily par levels.
• Complete production/spoilage records and adjust sheets.
• Prepare, package, weigh, and price bakery goods.
• Monitor freshness and rotate products properly.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly.
• Maintain clean, sanitary workplace and equipment.
