Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Project Engineer - Transmission Line to lead high voltage infrastructure projects from design through completion. You will oversee a design team, support EPC proposals, and ensure safe, compliant execution across transmission line or substation work.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Structural background, 5+ years in electric utilities, and a PE license, with strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with internal teams and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electric utility industry with high voltage substation or transmission line projects.
• PE license required.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards (ANSI, NEC, IEEE, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion: planning, design, permitting, construction support, closeout.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specs for electrical substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Verify compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public for successful delivery.
• Oversee quality control to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
