Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Project Engineer - Transmission Line to oversee HV infrastructure projects from design through closeout. The role ensures safety, quality and on-time delivery while supporting EPC proposals and complex stakeholder coordination.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, an ABET-accredited degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, and at least five years in electric utilities with HV substations or transmission line experience.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electric utility engineering for HV substations or transmission lines.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE, NEC, NESC and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion: planning, design, permitting, construction support, closeout.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specs for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public.
• Oversee quality control to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards.
• Prepare detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
