Job summary

Aecon Concessions in Seville, OH is seeking a High Voltage Competency Assessor & Trainer to deliver hands-on electrical safety training and evaluate workforce competency across US utility and infrastructure projects. As part of the Mobile Training Centre, you blend field high-voltage expertise with adult learning to ensure safe, competent work.

You will conduct field training, perform practical evaluations, coach workers, and help improve training content and systems while traveling nationwide

Qualifications

• Extensive field experience in high‑voltage utility work as a journey‑level lineman or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of overhead/underground distribution and substation environments.
• Ability to train, coach, and assess utility workers.
• OSHA NFPA 70E electrical safe work practices knowledge is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑voltage safety training at project sites across the United States.
• Conduct competency assessments for high‑voltage workers using approved tools.
• Provide coaching and feedback to crews and project leaders.
• Maintain training records and documentation per Aecon requirements.
• Support improvement of training content and checklists.
