Job summary

High Voltage Maintenance Corporation in Colorado is seeking an experienced trainer to develop and conduct internal and client training on electrical power system operation, testing, and safe work practices. You will create manuals, instructor outlines, and training aids to support classroom and field delivery.

The role requires delivering both internal ERS/HVM training and external client sessions, preparing exams, and maintaining training content.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work well with others, exercise sound judgment and have good technical, teaching and business knowledge.
• IEEE, IAEI and/or other professional organization involvement expected.
• Make public speaking presentations as assigned.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends, if required; must be available for out-of-area assignments up to several weeks and assist on field assignments when required.
• Public speaking and presentation skills are essential; driving to client sites may be required.
• Must have Valid driver’s license and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer new training programs.
• Develop outline, text, handouts, tests and designs of laboratory exercises.
• Review classes and provide support to other instructors.
• Administer exams and write performance reports to evaluate trainee performance.
• Perform field maintenance and testing support.
• Provide training course development and support.
• Participate in meetings, seminars and training sessions to obtain information useful to Training Services Service Center.
