Qualifications

• Must hold trade qualification as electrician or equivalent technical certification.
• At least 5 years’ experience with electrical substations and HV equipment.
• Proficient in using test gear and diagnostic tools for electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of power system protection and control schemes.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on substation equipment including transformers, breakers, and switchgear.
• Install, commission, and test new substation components and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in substation gear.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and manuals to perform duties.
