Job summary

North Houston Pole Line, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Project Manager to lead high-voltage substation construction projects within our transmission operations. This role manages the full project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, subcontractors, change management, and client relationships, from kickoff through energization and closeout.

Substation experience is preferred, though strong transmission line PM experience will be considered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HV substation construction project management.
• Full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and change management.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with budgets, cost forecasting, and subcontracting.
• Strong client-facing leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation construction projects from kickoff to energization and closeout.
• Act as primary client contact during kickoffs, walks, meetings and reviews.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with baselines and critical path analysis.
• Own budgets, cost reporting, and link schedule performance to financials.
• Manage subcontractor coordination, change orders, and pricing justifications.
• Coordinate with field teams, superintendents, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Anticipate risks and communicate performance to clients and leadership.
