Overland Contracting Inc. seeks a Substation Journeyman to plan, lay out, install and test high voltage substation wiring and equipment at generating stations and substations.

You will work with skilled professionals on critical infrastructure projects with emphasis on safety and quality. Minimum qualifications include 4+ years in a substation role and strong knowledge of high voltage components, plans interpretation, and fabrication.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years working experience as a Substation Helper or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and safety.
• Ability to read plans and work with complex drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, install, test, repair or maintain substation wiring and equipment.
• Operate equipment in a live substation up to 500,000 volts as needed.
• Ensure safety protocols and zero injuries through proactive engagement.
