Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an Associate Electrical Engineer for Substation projects, focused on high voltage design, protection & controls, and equipment wiring. The candidate collaborates with clients, vendors, and internal teams in a hybrid environment, with an emphasis on delivering detailed engineering and BOMs.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, with EIT certification preferred and travel opportunities to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required or equivalent.
• EIT certification preferred or-in-training encouraged.
• HV substation design experience and related protection & controls knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Continues to learn and remains current on design guides, standards, and B&V policies.
• Prepares engineering deliverables and performs complex calculations within budget and schedule.
• Mentors entry level professionals and interns as skills develop.
