Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Technical Specialist/Project Lead to coordinate and deliver high-voltage substation design and EPC activities. You will develop protection and control designs, equipment specs, and BOMs, while guiding junior engineers and coordinating with clients and vendors.

You will work in a hybrid environment on substantial projects with travel to client sites or offices. A PE license and 5+ years in the field are preferred, with strong technical and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordination on high-voltage substation projects up to 765kV.
• Develop protection and control design deliverables including relays and diagrams.
• Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and manage budgets and schedules.
