Job summary

Summit Line Construction in Utah is seeking a Land Surveyor to support the planning, design, and construction of high-voltage transmission, distribution, and substation projects. You will perform accurate field surveys, prepare maps and reports, and ensure compliance with project specs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Field surveying experience is required/preferred.
  • Ability to prepare maps and reports for design, permitting, and construction.
  • Knowledge of project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and construction staking surveys.
  • Operate GPS, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment.
  • Record and verify survey measurements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide staking for line routes, structures, foundations, and other project features.
  • Prepare survey maps, plats, and reports for design, permitting, and construction.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to align survey data with project needs.
  • Verify as-built conditions and finalize survey documentation for project closeout.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in design documents and field conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements and company standards.
