Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced High Voltage Transmission Inspector to support projects in the Houston, TX area. The role involves field inspections, documentation, and ensuring compliance with plans and codes.

This position may require up to 100% travel with mobilization provided. You will work with engineers, project managers, and on-site teams to verify conditions, produce concise reports, and ensure safety and quality across complex construction activities in power delivery and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, equivalent diploma, or demonstrated proven equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience.
• Essential professional licensure/certification(s).
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Well-defined knowledge of construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, process, methods and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data from field inspections and project plans.
• Use survey instruments and test equipment to verify site conditions and conformance.
• Provide technical guidance on inspection and construction practices.
• Act as consultant on work progress and problem resolution.
• Verify load calculations and interpretation of plans; resolve discrepancies.
• Write technical inspection reports with photos and diagrams.
• Coordinate with client and contractor personnel to schedule inspections.
