Howmet Aerospace in Branford, CT is hiring for a Furnace Operator on the 1st shift. The role involves loading and unloading blades and OEM parts into furnaces, setting up and monitoring furnace controls, and handling related materials with training provided in-house.

The position offers a starting hourly salary of $25.00 with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package from day one. Safety rules apply and the environment includes loud noise and heat.

Qualifications

• This position requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Minimum education requirement is a High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions stored electronically and written in English for each job assignment to ensure compliance with product requirements.
• Load parts in an orderly manner ensuring walls of containers are clear and that parts are submerged properly into powder.
• Inspect parts to ensure they are properly masked and are uniform before submitting to the process.
• Remove masking solids via Smutting and operate a manual blast cabinet as needed.
• Prepare and complete paperwork, verify part numbers, quantities, and orders against material received.
• Move filled boats and baskets into retorts using handling equipment and attach thermocouples as needed.
• Inspect and place parts back into cartons after processing.
• Enter Cycle Ramp Rates, Soak Times, and Cycle Times per Process Sheets and monitor temperature.
• Complete related paperwork and maintain standard operating procedures.
