Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Branford, CT is seeking a Furnace Operator for a 1st shift opening. You will load and unload blades, vanes, and other OEM parts into furnaces, set up and monitor furnace controls, operate overhead cranes, and prepare source materials. In-house training will be provided by Howmet.

Responsibilities include reviewing work instructions, ensuring proper masking, documenting processes, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in a high-temperature furnace department.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and comprehend work instructions written in English.
• Strong math skills for measurements and process control.
• Ability to apply basic problem solving and follow safety procedures.
• Good organizational skills for records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions stored electronically for each job to ensure compliance with product requirements.
• Load parts in an orderly manner and ensure proper submersion into powder.
• Inspect parts for proper masking and uniformity before processing.
• Operate furnaces and related equipment, monitor cycles, and record parameters per process sheets.
• Maintain paperwork and documentation, including routers and daily logs, accurately.
