Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Branford, CT is hiring a Loader/Unloader for a 3rd shift. The role focuses on loading/unloading blades, vanes, and OEM parts into furnaces in the Low-Temperature Furnace Department. Training is provided in-house to perform smutting and furnace control monitoring.

The position requires basic math, strong attention to detail, and adherence to safety rules. Starting salary is $22.00 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential and a $1,000 sign-on bonus, plus comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and memoranda.
• Good math skills including addition, subtraction, and basic decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load parts in an orderly manner and ensure containers are clear and parts not touching each other.
• Inspect parts to ensure proper masking and uniformity before processing.
• Perform smutting and cleaning tasks using a manual blast cabinet.
• Enter cycle ramp rates, soak times, and cycle times per process sheets.
• Complete all required paperwork and verify documentation accuracy.
