Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Expertise designing complex high-density multilayer PCBs for aerospace/defense/high-performance products.
• 2+ years of professional PCB layout experience using enterprise-class PCB design tools, with Mentor Xpedition preferred.
• Extensive experience with Mentor Xpedition Layout, DxDesigner, and related libraries and constraint management tools.
• Proven experience translating electrical schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts in collaboration with hardware engineers.
• Strong background in high-speed digital PCBs (DDR4/DDR5, PCIe Gen4/Gen5, Gigabit Ethernet) and controlled impedance routing.
• Experience designing dense boards (14–24+ layers) and HDI technologies (via-in-pad, blind/buried vias).
• Hands-on experience with BGA/QFN packages, FPGA layouts, SMT/through-hole, rigid-flex designs.
• Solid understanding of SI/PI, fabrication/assembly processes, DFM/DFA/DFT principles.
• Experience creating fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop multilayer PCBs that support advanced embedded computing platforms.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, systems, and test engineers to produce manufacturable layouts.
• Optimize signal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, and reliability across the product lifecycle.
