Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Hardware Design to design, implement, and test PCBAs including power, mixed-signal, FPGA, and microcontroller domains. The role requires advanced electronics expertise and hands-on lab experience in a fast-paced team environment in Huntsville/North Alabama.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• 15+ years in electronics design and test from architecture through implementation.
• Advanced knowledge of digital/analog/mixed-signal electronics and interfaces.
• Experience with complex multi-layer PCB design and testing.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and test PCBAs (power supply, mixed-signal, FPGA, microcontroller).
• Troubleshoot board-level issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Support manufacturing, test, and qualification activities for deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, technicians, and customers to meet requirements.
