Job summary

Htprof in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to create advanced multilayer PCBs for aerospace and defense applications. You will work with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure high-performance layouts with optimal signal integrity and manufacturability.

You will translate schematics into production-ready boards, migrate designs to Xpedition, and help develop design libraries and best practices. 2+ years of experience and a strong HDI/FPGA background are desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional PCB layout experience using enterprise-class tools.
• Experience with high-density, high-speed PCBs and HDI technologies.
• Strong SI/PI knowledge and DFM/DFT principles.
• Experience translating schematics into manufacturable layouts and collaborating with hardware engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design sophisticated multilayer PCBs (typically 14–24+ layers) for aerospace, defense, and embedded computing.
• Collaborate with HW, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams from architecture to production.
• Optimize signal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Translate electrical schematics into manufacturable layouts and support fabrication.
• Migrate designs to Xpedition and maintain engineering libraries and constraints.
• Mentor PCB designers and contribute to design methodologies.
