Job summary

Molex is seeking an Automated Test Engineer to design production test strategies for high-speed data cables, integrating custom PCBs and fixtures with off-the-shelf test equipment in a mass production environment.

You will develop software upgrades to test systems across global manufacturing regions (China, Mexico, India, Vietnam) and coordinate with design centers to ensure tests are robust, traceable, and aligned with CI/CD practices and quality systems.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in a hardware testing environment.
• Proficiency with Python or C++.
• Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, TDR modules and/or VNA.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and participate in occasional weekday evening calls.

Responsibilities

• Develop production test strategies to support global manufacturing of active high-speed data cables.
• Manage product testing strategy deployment with multi-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, PM).
• Develop, integrate, and upgrade software to test systems across regions (China, Mexico, India, Vietnam).
• Coordinate software development activities with design centers (product dev, manufacturing, signal integrity, quality).
• Create and maintain product and test system documentation and work instructions.
• Follow Molex TQM and Quality/Environmental Systems policies and procedures.
