Job summary

Molex seeks an experienced Principal Launch Engineer to solve complex design and manufacturing challenges for high-speed connectors and cable systems. You will own detailed analysis, lab testing, and system integration across global teams, driving reliable on-time launches for hyperscale customers.

The role requires 12+ years in electro-mechanical design, strong SI, and hands-on leadership. Flexible location with travel, and a focus on delivering world-class electronic solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Quality Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of electro-mechanical product design and manufacturing with leadership.
• Experience with product development in electronics industries.
• Strong understanding of FEA, GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with advanced parametric 3D CAD systems.
• Intermediate to advanced signal integrity understanding.
• Experience with progressive die stamping, injection molding, die casting, plating, laser welding, soldering and insert molding.
• Six Sigma background with proven problem solving.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% internationally.

Responsibilities

• Launch leading-edge products and components for high-speed cable and connector technology.
• Interface with cross-functional teams including signal integrity, manufacturing, program management, sales, test labs, R&D, and leadership.
• Lead and own critical problem-solving activities and act as SME where appropriate.
• Present findings and plans to internal teams and customers to support root-cause actions.
• Lead manufacturing and quality assurance during product launches and at sites with the global team.
• Build relationships with senior leaders and teams to operate as One Molex Team.
• Provide guidance to junior team members on problem solving and solutioning.
• Ensure follow-up and documentation of all action items to ensure timely, safe launches.
