Job summary

Eugene School District 4J is seeking an assistant coach to help plan, develop, and implement policies for an interscholastic sports program for the 2026/27 season. The role supports the head coach, helps organize athletic programs, and ensures compliance with district, OSAA, and NFHS rules while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include mentoring athletes, applying safety protocols, and collaborating with diverse students and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
• Red Cross First Aid Certificate, including CPR.
• Concussion Management and OSAA training.
• Successful completion of district background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, development, and implementation of interscholastic sports policies and procedures.
• Support head coach to organize and conduct athletic programs to meet district needs.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and FERPA and adhere to ethical educator practices.
• Lift at least 25 pounds and be able to sit for extended periods as required.
