This position is for the 2026/2027 season with Eugene School District 4J. Under direction, the assistant coach helps plan and implement policies for the interscholastic sports program and supports the head coach in executing the program vision, while complying with OSAA, NFHS, and district rules.

Responsibilities include organizing athletic programs, coaching through motivational strategies, collaborating with diverse students and staff, and maintaining professional conduct and confidentiality.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Red Cross First Aid Certificate with CPR training.
• Concussion Management and OSAA training completed.
• Background check process must be completed successfully.
• Preferred: Oregon TSPC license and valid driver's license.
• Experience in interscholastic athletics or coaching (min. 1 year).
• Must meet OSAA coaching standards; knowledge of athletic conditioning and injury care.
• Minimum age 22 years.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for interscholastic sports.
• Support head coach in maintaining program vision and organizing athletic activities.
• Collaborate with staff to meet district, OSAA and NFHS rules.
• Demonstrate teamwork, motivation, and effective communication.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct in all duties.
