Job summary

Eugene School District 4J (dba Lane County School District) (OR) seeks an assistant coach for the 2026/27 season to support planning, development and implementation of interscholastic athletic policies and procedures.

Under direction, you will assist the head coach to create and maintain the program vision, organize and conduct athletic programs to meet district needs, and ensure compliance with applicable rules, privacy regulations, and ethical professional standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the basic aspects of the sport.
• Complies with state, conference, league and school training, rules and regulations.
• Understanding of child growth, development and behavior with assessment techniques.
• Complies with HIPAA, FERPA and ethical educator practices.
• Teambuilding, cooperation and communication skills.
• Present self and ESD4J in a professional manner.
• Understand and follow oral and written directives.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Utilize teleservice platform to provide services to educators, students and district staff.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
