Job summary

SchoolHiring (Division of ExpertHiring) seeks a Special Education Teacher for grades 9-12 in Forest Lake, MN. This onsite contract runs from August 31, 2026 to June 4, 2027, with daily hours 7:15 AM–3:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

You\'ll develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, adapt curricula, and collaborate with general education staff to support at-risk students in a supportive school culture.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Special Education Teaching License in one or more areas (EBD/ASD/ABS).
• Experience with at-risk students, preferably at the secondary level.
• Strong experience in behavior support and classroom management.
• Excellent collaboration and communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and educational support to students in grades 9-12.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs.
• Provide effective behavioral and classroom management support.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related staff.
• Maintain accurate student records and required documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and school activities.
• Communicate with families regarding student progress and needs.
