Job summary

Onward Education is hiring a Special Education Teacher in Hennepin County, MN for the 2026/2027 school year. The on-site contract runs 37.5 hours per week with start Aug 25, 2026 and end Jun 10, 2027.

You will provide specialized instruction to high school students, apply trauma-informed approaches, and collaborate with a school-based team to support learning and behavior in a diverse population.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current teaching license in ASD or EBD, or willingness to obtain Out of Field license.
• Experience with diverse populations and inclusive practices.
• Ability to work in a specialized special education environment with behavioral needs.

Qualifications:

• Current teaching license in ASD or EBD, or an active license in another subject area with willingness to obtain an Out of Field license.
• Experience working with diverse populations, or demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse learners.
• Ability to work effectively in a specialized special education environment supporting student behavioral and learning needs.
