Job summary

SchoolHiring, a division of ExpertHiring, seeks a Special Education Teacher for a contract position in Minnesota. You will provide specially designed instruction aligned with IEPs and collaborate with SPED and general education teams to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional growth.

The role requires Minnesota SPED licensure in at least one area (e.g., ASD, DD, EBD, ABS) and experience with behavior plans.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to implement behavioral plans and behavior-management strategies.
• Experience coordinating paraprofessionals in a school setting.
• Strong collaboration with special and general education teams.
• Experience participating in IEP meetings and related processes.
• Center-based and cross-categorical EBD settings experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction based on student IEPs.

• Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
• Monitor progress and maintain documentation on student development.

• Demonstrate reliable attendance and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specially designed instruction and support based on student IEPs
• Implement behavior plans, classroom structures, and routines
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Develop and adapt instructional strategies based on student needs
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation
• Collaborate with special education and general education teachers
• Coordinate and collaborate with paraprofessionals
• Participate in IEP meetings and other special education processes
• Maintain a structured, supportive learning environment
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and reliability

Qualifications:

• Candidates must hold a valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license in at least one of the following areas: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Academic & Behavioral Strategist (ABS)
