The role requires a valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate, a strong track record with diverse student groups, and the ability to collaborate as part of the Genesee Early College team to meet students’ unique needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate with major/minor in assigned area.
• Requirements for highly qualified teachers per No Child Left Behind.
• Master’s degree in content area preferred.
• Three+ years teaching experience with diverse, underserved high school students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the instructional program and implement activities for high school students.
• Serve as an instructional and decision-making member of Genesee Early College team and meet students' unique needs.

Education

Michigan secondary teaching certificate (valid)

Highly qualified teachers per NCLB

Master’s degree in content area (preferred)

3+ years teaching diverse high school students (preferred)
