Job summary

Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) seeks an ECSE teacher to deliver instructional services across classroom, home, and community settings for children aged 2 years 6 months through 5 years, following MARSE rules. The role emphasizes collaboration with families, educators, and community partners.

You will coordinate supports, supervise staff, and ensure at least 72 clock hours of service annually, with emphasis on inclusive practices and successful transitions to kindergarten.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and Michigan teaching certificate with special education endorsement.
• Endorsements ZA or EC recommended; ZS or ZN/Early Childhood also acceptable.
• Experience with preschool-aged students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with families, educators, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructional services across classroom, home, and community settings.
• Coordinate and implement learning activities for students with disabilities aged 2;6 through 5 years.
• Provide instructional leadership, consultation, and coaching to staff and families.
• Ensure minimum of 72 clock hours of service annually and support transitions into kindergarten.
