Qualifications

• Experience working in a high school setting.

• 60 College Credits or Passing Grade on ParaPro Test.
• Experience working with a diversed student population.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Ability to work independently.
• Have experience in peer leadership and parental involvement.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with no serious violations.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and community.
• Ability to use word processing, data management, information retrieval, and multimedia equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive and successful learning experience for students.
• Assist in goal setting and provide academic support, with continuous communication to maximize attainment.
• Support in maintaining student confidentiality and data.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement activities and resources.
• Work with students in various settings (individual, small group, whole group).
• Monitor student progress and assist with data collection and reporting.
• Maintain discipline using behavior plans as directed by teachers.
