Job summary

Casa Grande Elementary School District Cottonwood Elementary School – Casa Grande, AZ invites applications for an Education Assistant – Grade Level Support. The role focuses on improving student success in basic academics, monitoring students across settings, and supporting teachers by handling clerical tasks. Starting immediately, this is a 10-month, full-time position.

Pay is $16.11 per hour. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a proficiency test, obtain fingerprint

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pre-employment proficiency test is required.
• Criminal Justice/fingerprint clearance is required.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Administers tests.
• Confers with teachers and/or parents as required.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans (e.g. reading, math, language, writing, computer).
• Instructs students individually or in small groups (reading, math, spelling, self esteem, daily living skills).
• Maintains classroom equipment, student files/records, and updates grades as needed.
• Monitors students during assigned periods across various school environments.
• Participates in in-service workshops and training.
• Performs clerical functions (scheduling, copying, materials, grading lists).
• Picks up and/or delivers homework to students.
• Responds to emergencies and supports staff as needed.
