Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to the district curriculum program.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and activities suitable for diverse learning styles.
• Conduct assessment of student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEPs.
• Set instructional goals with staff and plan activities to meet district requirements.
• Supervise and assign work to aides/volunteers and monitor completion.
• Communicate with students/parents regularly via phone, e-mail, or LMS.
• Maintain professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
