Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum ninth grade education; testing may assess reading and instruction comprehension.
• One year of custodial, mechanical trade, or related experience preferred.
• Physically able to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
• May require a valid driver’s license to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and sweep/clean floors in classrooms, offices, and corridors.
• Use custodial equipment like mops, buffers, vacuums, and cleaning supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash and garbage.
• Move furniture and loads up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Maintain clean and sanitary lavatories and wash basins.
• Clean windows and light fixtures, including areas up to 15 feet high.
• Assist cafeteria staff with lifting and deliveries.
• Participate in snow removal and lawn/playground maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and perform related duties as assigned.
