The coach will provide leadership on and off the court, promote sportsmanship, discipline, accountability, and academic success while upholding the school's mission and values. Responsibilities include planning practices, coaching games, and collaborating with staff to develop players and the program.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching basketball at the high school level.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, and strategy.
• Ability to motivate and develop student-athletes of varying abilities.
• Commitment to student-athlete safety and academics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct organized practices focused on skill development and game preparation.
• Teach fundamentals, knowledge of the game, strategy, and decision-making.
• Establish clear team goals and a positive team culture.
• Coach games, tournaments, and postseason activities, including rotations and in-game adjustments.
• Monitor attendance, behavior, academics, and eligibility; communicate concerns with staff.
• Maintain professional communication with students, families, staff, and administration.
• Ensure practices, games, travel follow policies and requirements.
• Provide supervision and maintain a safe environment for athletes.
• Maintain rosters, schedules, attendance, equipment, and documentation.
• Work with other coaches to promote player development.
• Attend required meetings and events; support school events.
