Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking an experienced head coach to organize and supervise a comprehensive high school sports program. You will coach, develop, and mentor student-athletes while working closely with the athletic director and principals to uphold the program's standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, sportsmanship, and positive role modeling, with responsibilities including staff training, program coordination, and ensuring safety and compliance across activities.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport. (Major sports)
• The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sportand, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent tothe field.

Responsibilities

• Established the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques to be taught by staff.
• Trains and informs staff, encourages professional growth by encouraging clinic attendance according to local clinic policy.
• Delegates specific duties, supervises implementation and, at season's end, analyzes staffeffectiveness and evaluates all assistants.
• Maintains discipline, adjusts grievances and works to increase morale and cooperation.
• Performs such other duties which may be assigned by the athletic director/principal.
