The role requires designing practices, coordinating schedules for games and travel, enforcing eligibility rules and safety protocols, and communicating effectively with parents, staff and the community to support student achievement both on and off the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• IVP fingerprint clearance is required.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate is required.
• NFHS Concussion in Sports Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead practices to improve individual and team performance.
• Develop values of sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and the ability to balance academics with athletics.
• Foster a positive team culture which is inclusive, respectful, goal oriented and can address and work through team conflicts.
• Maintain and coordinate practice, game, and transportation schedules, scores, records and evaluations.
• Enforce school and AIA rules for eligibility, safety protocols and player conduct.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, school staff, booster club, and community members.
