Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate.
• NFHS Concussion in Sports Certificate.
• Background as a player in the sport is preferred.
• Previous experience as an assistant or head coach is preferred.
• Understanding of the sports rules, strategies, techniques, equipment, safety protocols and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead practices to improve individual and team performance.
• Develop game plans tailored to opponents.
• Foster values of sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and balance with academics.
• Maintain practice, game, schedules, scores, and evaluations.
• Enforce school and league rules for eligibility and safety.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, booster club, and community.
• Assist with other duties as appropriate to the assignment.
