Job summary

Dayspring Academy for Education and the Arts is seeking an Academic Advisor to support high school learners with academic planning, progression audits, and dual enrollment coordination. You will work closely with families and instructional staff to develop personalized plans and monitor progress towards graduation and postsecondary goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic advising to high school learners, developing and maintaining four-year academic plans aligned with graduation requirements and postsecondary goals.
• Monitor learner academic performance, including grades, GPA, credit accumulation, attendance, and academic standing.
• Identify academically at‑risk learners and develop individualized improvement plans, interventions, and support strategies in collaboration with instructional staff and families.
• Conduct individual and group advising sessions focused on academic goal setting, study skills, time management, and learner accountability.
• Coordinate academic conferences and maintain accurate documentation of advising sessions, interventions, and learner progress.
• Monitor progress toward Florida high school graduation requirements and AA degree requirements, ensuring alignment of coursework and milestones.
• Coordinate dual enrollment registration and academic placement with PHSC and college personnel.
• Monitor college-level performance, withdrawal deadlines, and potential barriers to degree completion, coordinating interventions as needed.
• Establish and maintain systems to ensure Early College learners have access to textbooks, devices, and resources.
• Coordinate with PHSC to identify instructional material requirements and resource availability.
• Track distribution, availability, and return of instructional materials and technology.
• Support learner transportation needs and related concerns with the Transportation Department.
• Develop resources and procedures for academic onboarding, transitions, and learner services.
• Maintain accurate enrollment, documentation, and reporting to support compliance and leadership reporting.
