Job summary

Big Night Entertainment Group is seeking a friendly Front-of-House Host for a part-time role at our Mashantucket venue in Connecticut. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and seat guests, ensuring a smooth dining experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean station, collaborating with servers and bartenders, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere. Weekend availability and a professional appearance are required.

• One year of hosting experience in a fast-paced bar/restaurant
• Neat and professional appearance

• Maintain a clean, stocked work area and assist with closing duties as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management

Description

As a Host, a typical day might include the following:

• Greeting guests with a welcoming smile and providing them with fast, friendly service
• Managing reservations and waitlists, offering estimated wait times
• Assigning and escorting guests to their tables and lanes
• Setting up the dining room area and venue, moving furniture when needed
• Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner
• Working well with others as you will be working with other hosts, servers, bartenders, support and management
• Remembering guests' names and utilizing them when appropriate
• Maintaining a clean and stocked work area
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

• At least 1 year previous hosting experience in a fast-paced bar/restaurant
• A neat and professional appearance
• Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
• Must have a friendly and welcoming demeanor, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills
