Job summary

The Criminal Justice Project Director at Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council leads day‑to‑day implementation of the initiative with HCSO and HCDAO to strengthen the coordinated response to domestic violence and support high‑risk referrals.

This role coordinates training, referral tools, and case reviews, tracks commitments, and ensures survivor safety while fostering collaboration among DVHRT, Mobile Advocacy, and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field; experience with DVHRT or other multidisciplinary high‑risk response models.
• Experience collaborating with law enforcement, prosecutors, courts, housing providers, or community‑based victim service organizations.
• Knowledge of protective‑order processes, GPS‑related response coordination, repeat‑offender interventions, or domestic violence fatality review.
• Experience developing curricula, supporting grant‑funded projects, or using performance data for continuous improvement; ability to communicate in additional languages used by local survivors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project work plan, timelines, meeting schedule, deliverables, and action tracker; identify implementation barriers and elevate unresolved issues to HCDVCC leadership.
• Serve as the primary project liaison to designated HCSO and SMART personnel; facilitate communication among participating agencies and clarify responsibility for agreed actions.
• Develop and maintain referral tools, operating procedures, partner contact lists, and escalation pathways in collaboration with HCSO and HCDVCC leadership.
• Coordinate implementation across DVHRT, training, Mobile Advocacy, and flexible assistance; align activities with the approved scope and budget.
