Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager with proven high-rise construction experience to lead planning, coordination, and execution of complex structural scopes on large-scale vertical projects.

The role focuses on concrete, reinforcing steel, post-tensioning, structural steel, sequencing, schedule, cost, quality, and trade partner coordination, reporting to an on-site Senior Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering / Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience managing structural scopes on high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of cast-in-place concrete, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, and sequencing.
• Understanding of contracts, risk, scheduling, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of structural scopes on high-rise projects.
• Develop and manage structural sequencing and floor-cycle strategies with the Superintendent and trades.
• Coordinate structural activities with architectural, façade, MEP, and other building systems to resolve conflicts.
• Prepare project estimates and manage budgets for assigned scopes.
• Manage procurement and subcontractor/supplier agreements for structural work.
• Maintain and update project schedule milestones and ensure critical path integrity.
