Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee planning, management, and execution of assigned construction projects. The PM will lead the project team, ensure profitability, and meet owner expectations while promoting Layton objectives and safety standards.

The role requires coordinating with estimators, superintendents, and owners to manage schedules, costs, and subcontractors, and to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field, or the equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of four or more years project management experience within Data Center Construction.
• Has a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Understands contracting language and concepts to protect the company while providing quality service.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of estimates for the project.
• Prepares project budgets and unit cost reports.
• Leads the project team in preparing the project management plan (PMP).
• Organizes and conducts pre-award and pre-construction meetings.
• Negotiate and prepare project subcontracts.
• Develops and monitors project quality, safety, and risk management plans.
• Monitors cost, safety, quality, and schedule performance with the project superintendent.
• Coordinates all final close out procedures for the project, including as-built drawings and letters of completion.
