Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager with proven high-rise construction experience to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex structural scopes on large-scale vertical construction projects.

The role emphasizes concrete, reinforcing steel, post-tensioning, structural steel, vertical sequencing, and coordination across trades to maintain schedule and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience with high-rise projects.
• High-rise construction experience is required; direct experience managing structural phase of multi-story vertical construction.
• Strong knowledge of cast-in-place concrete, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, foundations and sequencing.
• Understanding of contracts, costs, risk, and ability to manage change orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural construction scopes on complex high-rise and vertical projects.
• Develop and manage structural sequencing and floor-cycle strategies with Superintendent and trades.
• Coordinate structural activities with architectural, MEP and façade teams to resolve conflicts.
• Manage procurement, subcontractor and supplier agreements.
• Monitor project schedule, cost, quality, safety and productivity with the on-site team.
• Lead structural scope meetings and report status and risks to stakeholders.
• Support closeout procedures including as-built drawings and turnover.
