Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a high-rise office building in Irvine, CA. You will greet tenants and guests, control access, manage visitor credentials, and maintain a secure, welcoming environment at a premier commercial location.

The role emphasizes front desk duties, incident response, and collaboration with site leadership to ensure safety and a positive tenant experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Staff the front desk and serve as the point of contact for visitors, vendors, and employees.
• Monitor building access, verify visitor credentials, issue passes, and maintain entry records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm manner following site procedures.
• Monitor front desk communications, direct calls, and report suspicious activity to site leadership.
