Job summary

South Washington County Schools is seeking a High Needs/Resource Special Ed Paraprofessional at Woodbury Middle School to support students under a licensed teacher's direction.

Responsibilities include assisting with academic and behavioral support, data collection, implementing district policies, and maintaining confidentiality and fairness. The role starts November 16, 2026, with a base pay of $22.70 per hour and a 6.5-hour day, calendar-based work schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to meet District 833 Highly Qualified requirements.
• Competencies as required by State of Minnesota, Federal government, and/or District 833.
• Ability to reinforce math, reading, and writing skills in elementary and/or secondary classrooms.
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.
• Proven teamwork, confidentiality, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult daily with licensed special education teacher regarding daily responsibilities.
• Assist special education teacher in implementing district policies and procedures, including emergency procedures and classroom management.
• Assist students in academic areas such as reading, writing, or math under guidance of a licensed teacher.
• Support students with learning challenges or behavioral needs, including daily living activities as needed.
• Collect and record student data per teacher directions and share with staff.
