Job summary

Harper is an AI-native commercial insurance company in San Francisco. The role works directly with the CEO on the hardest problems in the business, with a seat in everything substantive: biz ops, growth, strategic projects, investor materials, and M&A diligence, among others.

The position requires on-site, high-intensity work with very high standards. Salary is $150,000-$175,000 plus performance bonuses and equity, with in-office work at our San Francisco location and early mornings five

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data.
• Experience in high-intensity analytical/operational roles (banking, consulting, PE, startups).
• Ability to operate autonomously and manage ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Take the CEO's hardest problems with direct access to key stakeholders.
• Build 0→1 systems across underwriting operations, customer experience, and risk evaluation using AI.
• Run deep analysis of customer interactions, underwriting requirements, and workflows.
• Bridge engineering, operations, and growth to translate needs into product requirements.
• Own end-to-end problems: data gathering, mapping, fixing, experimentation, delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across engineering, carriers, underwriters, and customers.
