Job summary

Genuine Parts Company in New York is seeking an Outbound Supervisor to oversee pulling, sorting, packing and loading freight in a safe, high-quality, timely manner. You will coordinate outbound shipping activities, ensure daily paperwork reconciliation, and maintain secure distribution center facilities.

The role involves leading a team, training staff, scheduling hours, and ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures to optimize outbound performance.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use good judgment and work with detail.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to lift/move up to 60 lbs; forklift and pallet jack certified.

Responsibilities

• Manage outbound operations by directing staff and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Train and develop team members to maintain high performance.
• Schedule shifts to cover peak periods and maintain efficiency.
• Process and ship all outbound orders including cross/docks, UPS, Will Call and specials.
• Manage picking, sorting and loading procedures and reconcile nightly truck loads.
