Job summary

Regions Bank in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to direct residential loan origination from a borrower through our branch network.

The role involves completing applications, evaluating requests, maintaining client contact, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations. This is a commission-based position, with earnings tied to performance and production; NMLS registration is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Experience developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior Mortgage Loan Officer experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress of loan and obtaining required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with acceptable lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes marketing plan including referral partners and frequency of contact.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
