Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through a branch network in Nashville, TN. You will handle applications, evaluate qualifications, and maintain relationships with customers while promoting Regions’ loan products.

The role emphasizes external business development with referral partners and participation in a commission incentive plan. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and mortgage licensing is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Abundant mortgage experience in developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to processing.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicates progress, and collects required documentation.
• Structures loans to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes detailed marketing plan including referral sources and contact frequency.
• Makes sales calls to develop or retain business and cross-sell bank products.
• Reads surveys and appraisals, and addresses encroachments and violations.
• Participates in networking to promote and market loan products.
